Here we will list platforms you can use to paste Share links on this site. We hope this exposes you to what kind of options there are for expanding online gaming as an arcade-like, play with anyone kind of system.

How to JOIN a session:

• Like most of the remote solutions here, you put in your controller in your computer, its important to be ready to play so test your controller is working.
• Navigate to the ARCADE
• Find a game session you want to join from the list and click Join, you can also click More for more info. Some sessions may require you press more and read any instructions so that the right kind of people join (for example only people who can reasonably agree to stay for an hour so no one's time is wasted etc.).
• Follow any prompts from there to join a session

Parsec

About Parsec: Parsec is a remote computing solution that has a focus on gaming.   
Requires: Parsec software downloaded   
Works on: Computer, tablet, Phone

Performance: Its very fast, its possible to forget you are playing with someone remotely. 

How to HOST:

• Like most of the remote solutions here, you put in your controller in your computer, its important to be ready to play so test it works. 
• Start up the Parsec application
• Go to COMPUTERS and click SHARE
• You will get a Link, it will be copied to your clipboard automatically
• Share that link directly with friends or Navigate to the TSBAR site to post a game session and paste the link in there. 
  It can be listed on the site for people to see. When you do this, it will also be announced on this site's discord and people can set up alerts for games they are following (coming soon).
• Share links expire in 5 or so minutes now so TSBAR has new instructions. Follow the hosting guide from here. We'll go over the short version here though.
• Update your profile with your PEER ID that you can get by right clicking your computer in parsec (THIS IS NOT YOUR USER ID).
• Post as session on TSBAR. As long as parsec is running and your session is up people can join!
• We will add tools to make this easier in the future but right now there are some issues. 
  • 1. A user who joins needs to be on your friends list

  • 2. You will get a prompt to accept them (there is an autojonier available form our discord)

    These issues will be resolved when a companion TSBAR App is finished.

How to Join:

This used to be just have parsec and click the link but now theres just a little more to it.

• Install parsec
• Install the TSBAR linker
• Click the new Purple links. <img src="/images/purplelink.png">
• You may need to try to contact the host to be on their friends list. (we will try to remove this requirement through a companion app)

TIPS:

We suggest you look through all the options to make sure they are set the way you want for hosting and joining. Specifically under hosting you can limit anyone who joins to just the game, or disable use of mouse etc for safe gaming with strangers.

Pros: 

• Very light application with lots of options for people who join in
• Very fast

Steam

About steam: The post popular gaming platform online, its a safe bet that you can find lots of people to play with on steam. But they don't have any public system for finding remote play sessions. You can use TSBAR to help with that.

How to use: 

1. Start Game  
2. Click remote play (can be found on friends list)  
3. Click Guest  

4. Copy share link  
5. Share directly with friends or Navigate to the TSBAR site to post a game session so it can be listed on the site for people to see. When you do this, it will also be announced on this site's discord and people can set up alerts for games they are following (coming soon).

Pros: 

• Only one person is required to have the game its the same as playing in person with someone on player 2.

Cons: 

• Requires steam on both ends which is not a light application.

Discord

You can get this by joining our DISCORD or downloading the app

About:

Discord is a open-invite based chat application available on computer and mobile. Given some time I wouldn't be surprised if they added features like parsec and steam above since its so focused on gaming. It has a lot of special features that integrate with websites in different ways and is a popular spot for people to talk about gaming related things.

How to use: 

• Go to a discord like the TSBAR
• Go to a voice chat channel (you don't have to talk if you dont want to)
• Click start an activity or join one if you see one in session
• Pick a game if you are starting an activity 

• Right click the activity and choose Invite to Join

  

• You will get a link that you can copy ex. https://discord.gg/BFfTqVAD
• Navigate to the TSBAR site to post a game session and use that link when making a session.
• Others can join either by browsing discord or by a link on the site.

Pros:

• You can use discord to enhance other platforms by opening it in the background to talk or use their voice chat features.
• works on lots of devices like computer and mobile

Cons:

• They only allow for connecting with thier limited amont of in-discord games
• More than half the games are behind a paywall of Discord Nitro

Others:

Geforce Now.
Currently testing, if this works it can be added.
